Stanza Three is about learning to release tension before performing or getting to know the places where your body is holding unreleased energy (e.g. in the root of the tongue).

There are many effective methods available for relaxation and release of the body, but they do not always go hand in hand with singing. For example heavy exersice is known to release tension, like running or workout at the gym, but at the same time you might actually increase tension in the neck and throat muscles. It looks like those areas are extremly sensitive and more than that, the breathing can actually “rise up” instead of lowering down after heavy activity. Without abandoning sports its good to find out activity that one can do just before performing and that is only directed to release tension (not to build up muscle or increase cardiovascular health).

TRE movements (tension release exercises) are tremors that pulsate in the body. They are a very natural way to release tension and common in animals. 

TRE is a simple yet innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma, created by Dr.David Berceli.
TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.
